Counterbalance Valve System

The counterbalance valve protects rotation in the event of a hydraulic line failure and protect the actuator against excessive torque loading. Hydraulic Schematic of Optional Counterbalance Valve: The counterbalance valve is optional on-demand. SUN brands or other top brands are available for different requests.

WL20 Series Overview

WL20 Series hydraulic rotary actuators offer a cost-effective solution for wide applications. Five standard sizes with torque output from 500Nm up to 4200Nm at 21Mpa. It provides 180 degree rotation with foot mounting type. The typical usage of WL20 Series include but not limited to aerial platform, crane, spider lift, material handling, etc.

Mounting Options

Cantilever Mount: The load is mounted to the shaft flange and is supported at only one end of the shaft. Cantilever mounting is not recommended for aerial work platforms or other critical and safety-related applications.

Straddle Mount: The load is supported at both ends of the shaft.

Torque Performance

Torque Versus Hydraulic Pressure and Loads: The driving torque and holding torque are approximately linear with hydraulic pressure. As moment loads increase, drive torque may be reduced by up to 15%.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
What is the rotation range of the WL20 Series actuators?
The WL20 Series hydraulic rotary actuators provide a standard 180-degree rotation.
What is the maximum torque output for this series?
The series offers five standard sizes with torque outputs ranging from 500Nm up to 4200Nm at 21Mpa.
What is the function of the optional counterbalance valve?
The counterbalance valve protects the rotation in the event of a hydraulic line failure and safeguards the actuator against excessive torque loading.
In which industries can these hydraulic actuators be applied?
They are suitable for various industries including Agriculture, Construction, Energy, Marine, Material Handling, Military, Mining, and Truck/Trailer applications.
What is the difference between Cantilever and Straddle mounting?
In Cantilever mounting, the load is supported at only one end of the shaft, while in Straddle mounting, the load is supported at both ends of the shaft for increased stability.
Does hydraulic pressure affect the driving torque?
Yes, driving and holding torque are approximately linear with hydraulic pressure. However, as moment loads increase, drive torque may be reduced by up to 15%.
